Thank you for your interest in participating in ‘Invasive Species Removal for Ecosystem Health’, an urban park stewardship event hosted by Prince’s Trust Canada, in the City of North Vancouver.

This in-person event will take place on Wednesday, December 8th, 2021, from 11:00am-2:00pm PST. It will be in Mosquito Creek Park, North Vancouver. We will meet at the 17th Street entrance to the park.

We will be supplying lunch, invasive species removal training, and all necessary tools, safety vests, gloves, and equipment for the duration of the event. The City of North Vancouver encourages you to bring your work gloves if you have them.

Important note regarding COVID-19 protocol:

For this urban stewardship event, we will enforce local public health measures, to include mandatory masking and ensuring hand sanitizing options are available. Masks and hand sanitizer will be provided, but we do encourage you to bring your own. We will also split groups to limit the number of participants gathering at one time (if needed), ensure social distancing is respected throughout the activity, and wash all shovels with a disinfectant cleaning solution before and after use.

If you are showing any COVID-19 symptoms or have other risk factors such as recent travel or proximity to a symptomatic person, for the health and safety of other participants we kindly ask that you do not attend this event. There will be a representative from Prince’s Trust Canada and Stanley Park Ecology Society on site to ensure compliance of our COVID-19 protocols and screening. We will send out Prince’s Trust Canada’s COVID-19 Screening Form before the event, and ask that you fill it out prior to attending.
